Spiced Ruby Punch
The slight tartness of pomegranate combined with earthy spices and the bold, yet smooth taste of black tea creates a beverage that your friends and family will request at every gathering.
Part 1
INGREDIENTS for the Pomegranate Spiced simple syrup:
2 tbsp. Sugar
1 ½ cup Pomegranate juice
1 tbsp. Cloves
4 stars Anise
4 sticks Cinnamon
A pinch of Ginger
INSTRUCTIONS:
Mix sugar and pomegranate juice in a saucepan, heat until the sugar dissolves. Add cinnamon sticks, ginger, cloves, and star anise. Reduce to a simmer and let infuse for 10 minutes. Let stand until room temperature and move to the Ruby Punch.
Part 2
INGREDIENTS for the Ruby Punch:
2 cups Tejava® Pineapple Mango black tea
3 cups Champagne
½ cup Cranberries
4 sticks Cinnamon
Pomegranate Spiced simple syrup (from above)
INSTRUCTIONS:
Combine the pomegranate spiced simple syrup and spices in a punch bowl or pitcher. Add Tejava Pineapple Mango black tea and stir. Top off with champagne and garnish with fresh cranberries. Pour over ice if preferred.
