Origins™ Hojicha Green Tea 1L, 12 pack

Much more interesting flavor than most green teas. The smokiness reminds me of tea in Kyoto. Minor hitch was that the two cases arrived on different days, with no indication that this would happen so I worried that there had been a mistake and wasted time contacting customer service

If you're used to drinking regular green tea, perhaps with a splash of mint in it to cut the earthy bitter taste, this green tea will come as a shock. Hojicha green tea is a heavily roasted and very, very smoky tea, and to be quite frank, my first sip of it tasted like licking the bottom of an ashtray. It grows on you though, and you can add honey, lemon, or sweeteners to your hearts desire like any other tea. Make no mistake, this is super high quality very pure healthy tea, it just takes some getting used to. it's sort of the Malort of teas, and many people will not like it.

I really enjoy the tea, very tasty. While the product arrived safely, I DID not like the packaging material of Styrofoam noodles which are BAD for the environment and very difficult to dispose of.
